Description
Once the surrounding smoke concentration reaches the alarm value, it will promptly send out visual and audible alarm signal to remind the user to take immediate measures. Smoke alarm can be interconnected via a hardwired or wireless system (using optional GT wireless interconnected module). Once one device triggers an alarm, the alarm signal will be pushed to every alarm in the interconnected network, and they will raise the alarm in unison. Up to 24 GT devices can be interconnected, including smoke, heat and CO alarms.
Remote Silencing
When you burn the toast silence the smoke alarm with your TV Remote.
GT High Performance smoke alarms contain an infrared sensor which allows the alarm to be instantly silenced by any existing IR remote control in the home.
Within 12 minutes of silencing the alarms and smoke density increases, the alarm sound will trigger again because the alarm will see that as an indication that it wasn’t a false alarm.
Silencing the alarms with a remote control does not disable the alarm – it is just muting the alarm and the alarm is still active.
With GT High Performance smoke alarms you have the split spectrum technology working to reduce unnecessary false alarms and a convenient way of silencing those alarms that do still occur in the form of remote silence.
